Where science and art meet!

etching 1

We will explore the salt water and electricity method as well as the ferric chloride method of etching on copper. There is a whole world of representational, abstract themes, text as well as texture that can now be incorporated in your work. We will go over using etched metal for texture plates for PMC and polymer clay as well. A big fun packed day! Students will go home with many samples and new techniques learned as well as a wearable pendent, earrings and or a cuff ring (depending on how fast you work…) As ways an optivisor in recommended.
